Can you say OUCH??

Babies are just wonderful-- the best thing ever. So sweet and adorable. Love it! But my newest addition has caused some serious ouchies to my heart and to me! We begin with Wyatt having jaundice. Going to the hospital every day for 2 weeks getting poked. So sad. Jaundice under control-- yeah! Then mom is nursing so that means cracks, blisters etc. OUCH! Then mom gets mastitis... twice! Double OUCH!! Think we are doing good when Wyatt gets thrush and gives it to mom!! DOUBLE QUADRUPLE SUPER DUPER OUCH! And to top it all off, a giant blood blister. Is he worth it??? Totally! But I can definitely say that this has been a rough round for mom. Hopefully the worst is over and I can enjoy life again wearing a bra!! Thanks to all my friends and family who took care of me. Love you guys!

Simply Delicious

I'm in love... I can't help it. Wyatt is just so delicious!!! Well, today he turned 3 weeks old... crazy huh?? He is a great baby... always hungry... and loves to be held. I can't help it either-- I have to hold him!! My house is a wreck-- toilets yuck, floors sticky... but I don't care-- I just have to spend at least half of the day holding him. 3 kids has been quite a ride so far- Mornings are crazy as I am trying to curl hair, nurse Wyatt, get Brock breakfast, do homework, pick up barbies, put on deodorant, and take a shower every once in a while!!! A little hectic but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Happy Birthday Daddy

So my hubby turned 34 on September 4th and is still the cutest man around. We celebrated before the baby came by going to Tuachan and seeing Tarzan and going to Paula's (our special dinner place!) When the actual big day came, Chris got some South Carolina football t-shirts, movie tickets, and a solar oven. Plus, South Carolina won their season opener and looked fantastic!! It was a great day for the big daddy of 3 lucky kiddos!!

Home Sweet Home

It was a long two days in the hospital and we were chomping at the bit to come home! The doctor wanted us to stay another night to make sure that Wyatt's blood sugar was high enough. We were dying to come home! Finally at 10pm he gave us the green light to go home and we were outta there!! The kids had prayed for Wyatt to come home in their prayers with Grandma so they were THRILLED to wake up and see mom and Wyatt home in their beds! They just can't get enough of this little guy! He is an eating machine (a true Felder boy) and is just so soft and snuggly. We have been spoiled with gifts, meals, and great friends and family to support us. We feel so blessed.

Hold on to your hearts... our new little one!

Last Friday was a very special day for our little family.
Wyatt Robert Felder was born weighing in at 8 pounds and 10 oz
and 21 inches long.

The day began with my stomach hurting soo bad. I didn't know if they were contractions or not but they hurt! After taking Brock to school, I told Chris we needed to head to the hospital so they could check me out and probably send me home.

Once we got to the hospital, I was contracting but they were concerned that I was showing signs of pre-clampsya and some liver issues. They decided to admit me, take care of the baby first, and then try to treat me. Hooray!! My epidural will be coming soon.

As soon as I hit the delivery room... epidural please!!! Once that big ol' needle was in my spine, it was a piece of cake. I labored for about 6 hours with no progress but I did eat about 20 illegal graham crackers. Then the next check I was dialated to a 5. An hour later, an 8. A half hour later, a 9. They called the doctor and we got ready for our little man to arrive.

Chris was right there beside me the whole time. Amazing man. My mom was there, as well as my mother-in-law, sister Amy, and sister in law Leslye. I went through 4 rounds of pushing and he was here! They placed him right on my chest and my heart just melted. My sweet baby boy. He was so round and looked just like Brock. Dark hair, pink skin, and big hands and feet!! Chris and I both new that he was a Wyatt the minute we looked at him and Robert was the obvious choice for a middle name with both grandpas, an uncle, and a great-grandfather named Robert.

An amazing moment for our little family. Brock and Paige were both so excited to meet Wyatt and the look on their faces when they held him for the first time was priceless. I can't believe that I have 3 kids now and that little Wyatt was just inside me a few weeks ago. We are so blessed and I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful amazing family.
